Founded in 1992 a Music outreach program "Jammin For Kids Sake." Recognized by the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Times. In 2004 co-founded & produced "Las Vegas Music Awards." Produced "Business of Music Workshops" at the Los Angeles Black Expo in 2006/2007/2008. In 2007 Produced the "Teen Gospel Music Awards." Now Producing the "Rising Star" Music Awards to be held in July 2012. In 2012 Rising Star" Music Awards will be Launched in Atlanta, GA. We are working on launching in New York in 2013. More details will be release in January 2012.
Mr. Lewis Carter - President & Talent Director
Mr. Carter is a Vocalist, Songwriter, Actor, Dancer, Choreographer, Model and Runway Coach. Performing since the age of nine, he's dance on Soul Train, choreographed for several new Artist. Has open for Teena Marie, Ginuwine & Ledisi, etc. Instructor and Runway Producer for the Black Business EXPO. Just back from New York, starred in a Gospel Play at the world famous Apollo Theater. As President he plans to take "Rising Star" Music Awards to a new level of success.
Ms. Betty Simpson - Vice President of Operations
Ms.Simpson is a Social Media Strategist and a recent MBA graduate from the University of Texas at Austin Music & Entertainment Committee, Austin Community Television, Bet Networks, MTV Networks, Hollywood Video Entertainment and Universal Music Group Island Def Jam. She is a member of the Gates Millenium Scholars Program, PepsiCo Student Leadership program, Beta Gamma Sigma honor society for Business Students, Golden Key International Honour Society, and Phi Kappa Phi. She is an active member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Los Angeles.
